Brittany Mrkvicka & Morgan Prochnow: This Week's Star Students!

This week, the UNK Admissions Office has TWO Star Students of the Week! Meet Brittany Mrkvicka and Morgan Prochnow!



Brittany Mrkvicka


Brittany is a 1st time student diplomat, yet has a phenomenal sense of confidence. She does a great job of taking control of a situation. She has great conversation skills, is extremely welcoming to students and their families, and is an incredibly hard worker with an always upbeat, positive, and encouraging attitude! We're looking forward to seeing the potential that she has in this office!

  • Year & Major: Sophomore, Special Education K-12 & Middle Grades Education
  • Why did you choose UNK?: "I was actually having a difficult time deciding and my dad forced me to go on one more tour. That tour made me fall in love with UNK, and I'm still in touch with those tour guides."
  • What is your favorite UNK tradition/event?: "The Big Event"

Morgan Prochnow


Another 1st time student diplomat this semester, Morgan has really grown in these past few months; she has become increasingly more confident and is fantastic with our younger groups on campus! She is always looking for a good conversation, is very talented at forming connections with any student and their family, and is incredibly genuine and sincere. We appreciate how much Morgan has stepped up to volunteer a number of her Saturdays for special visits! Thanks for all that you do in our office, Morgan!

  • Where is your favorite place on campus to hang out?: "The Gamma Phi Beta house or the library!"
  • What is your dream job/career goals?: "To become a speech language pathologist."
